ScanBoy takes your privacy very seriously. If you have opted into allowing Apple to share information with developers, we receive some anonymous analytics. In addition to Apple’s analytics, ScanBoy uses TelemetryDeck to collect anonymous data. TelementryDeck’s privacy policy can be found here.
ScanBoy does not sell or rent your data, and any anonymous information collected is used only for improving the app.
If you subscribe to ScanBoy Pro and make use of the artificial intelligence features, ScanBoy must send your document's text to the OpenAI API servers. You can find OpenAI's privacy policy here. At the time of this writing, OpenAI's privacy policy dictates that it will not use data submitted via it's API to train or improve their models, unless explicitly given permission by the user of the API. ScanBoy has not given permission for OpenAI to do this.
ScanBoy also integrates the RevenueCat SDK which captures some analytics related to in-app purchases and subscriptions. You can find RevenueCat's privacy policy here. ScanBoy does not store any identifying information or the textual contents of your documents on any server.
ScanBoy uses Apple’s opt-in service for crash reporting. Anonymous information such as the device type, date of the crash, and version of the operating system will be viewable to us. No personally identifiable information is sent or stored.
